1. Recommending maintenance work that does not show up on your owner\u2019s manual. We always tell our customers, for periodic maintenance check your owner\u2019s manual. Every vehicle is different, so there are different \u201cregular\u201d intervals for routine maintenance. If your mechanic is recommending maintenance procedures that are no longer needed for you vehicle, be wary.<\/p>\n
2. Are they selling you a tune-up? If your car or truck was built in the last 10 years, it does not need a tune up. Once again, reference your vehicle\u2019s owner\u2019s manual for when to change your spark plugs or air or fuel filters.<\/p>\n
